There's a great episode of the podcast Song Exploder in which Carl Newman, of The New Pornographers, explains how precise he is about nonsense syllables in song. So it's a little reductive to call all of the glossolalia in this playlist "La La Las". Nonetheless, here's a playlist of some of my favorite non-verbals lyrics, for when you just need to shout nonsense at the void.
